Where Soap Nuts are from
Soap nuts are grown in Pakistan and have been used as a natural detergent for many years. They grow on Sapindus mukorossi trees, which reach up to 15 metres tall. The shells contain saponin — a natural organic compound with cleansing and degreasing properties. When the nuts are split and dried, the saponin is released upon contact with water, providing effective cleaning without the need for chemicals.

Do not dissolve fabric dyes
Soap nuts can be reused multiple times: up to 4 washes at 30°C, 3 washes at 40°C, 1–2 washes at 60°C, and once at 90°C. Because they do not dissolve fabric dyes, you can safely mix different colours in the same wash. As long as the nuts continue to produce foam, they still contain saponin.
Their gentle cleaning action helps preserve the colour of fabrics for longer. Suitable for both hand washing and machine washing, and safe for white and coloured fabrics between 30°C and 90°C. As a naturally sourced, hypoallergenic product, they are an ideal choice for anyone sensitive to chemical detergents.
